Anne Scott Lawson-Hines, age 77, of Stableview Drive, passed away Tuesday March 31, 2020 at Lincolnton Rehabilitation Center. She was born October 7, 1942 in Union County to the late Charles and Ilene Carver Scott.

Anne was an animal lover and adored her dogs. She enjoyed gardening and working with flowers and plants. She also worked for several years as a nurse and was very compassionate with her patients.

Left to cherish her memory is her dedicated husband of 23 years, John Hines of the home; daughters, Barbara Lawson, Susan Lawson Gurganus (Tim); stepchildren, Jeff Hines, Teresa Hines Gardo (Brent), Greg Hines (Karen); and her granddaughter, Chloe Gurganus.

Due to local and statewide COVID 19 restrictions, a private graveside service will be held Saturday at Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery.
