Mrs. Batchelor, 89, of 147 Batchelor Drive, Blacksburg, SC, passed away Friday, July 9, 2010. Graveside Services were held in Frederick Memorial Gardens, Gaffney, SC. 

Mrs. Batchelor was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Batchelor; her parents, Charles and Emma Bell Phillips Douglas; 1 son, Douglas McCarter; 1 daughter, Leslie Gayle Batchelor; her step-father, Albert Benjamin Clarence Douglas; and 1 granddaughter.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Lisa Dale Batchelor Booth and husband Bill of Vinton, VA, Kay Howell and husband Jimmy of Grover, and Gwenne McCarter of Blacksburg, SC; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Colleen Pettus of Rock Hill and Thelma Ellis of Mt. Holly, NC.
