Catherine Shull Cook
Catherine Shull Cook, 81, of Old Stagecoach Road, Lawndale, died Wednesday,
August 15, 2012 at her residence.

Born May 4, 1931 in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Odus
Shull and Emma Houser Shull.  She was a retired cosmetologist and business
owner.  Mrs. Cook was a member of Lawndale Baptist Church where she worked
with the GA's and Sunday School.  She was a volunteer with the Red Cross and
helped with Boy Scout Troop 112.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Flay
Larn Cook; brother, Bud Shull; two sisters, Betty Duckworth and Sue
Thackerson; and a son-in-law, Bobby Wellmon.

Survivors include her son, Christopher Cook of Lattimore; a daughter, Teresa
Wellmon of Fallston; granddaughter and her husband, Michelle and Keith
Miller; three great-grandchildren, Makana, Colson and Kenzi Miller; and two
sisters, Linda Canipe of Vale and Ruth Lail of Hickory.

Visitation: 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Saturday,  Lawndale Baptist Church, Lawndale.

Officiating: Rev. Jim Kilby and Rev. Cecil Buff.

Burial: Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston

Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross, 125 Patton Drive, Shelby,
NC 28150
