Dr. Charles Stephen Bailey, 63, of Shelby, NC, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2010. A Memorial Service was held at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home Chapel.
Dr. Bailey served our country in the U.S. Navy, serving as Ship Dentist on the USS Piedmont during it’s 14 month deployment in Italy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Nelma Bailey.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene Reese Bailey; 2 daughters, Tracey Bailey of Indianapolis and Kate Runy of Durham; 1 son, Scott Bailey of Charlottesville, VA; a son-in-law, Michael Runy of Durham; 1 grandson; his parents-in-law, Richard and Lou Reese of Boiling Springs, NC; 1 brother, Richard Bailey of Greenville, SC; 1 sister, Deborah Rada of Charleston, W.VA; 2 brothers-in-law, Alan Rada of Charleston, W.VA, and Robert Branson of Charleston, SC; 3 sisters-in-law, Sherrie Reese of Birmingham, Ala., Crystal Bailey of Greenville, SC and Ellen Branson of Charleston, SC; 3 nieces; and 3 nephews.
