Cora Lee Gantt Tate age 88, died Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Peak Resources Shelby, NC. Born in Cleveland County the daughter of the late John Clarence Gantt and Ella Jane Walker Gantt She retired from sales with Shelby Farm and Garden. She was preceded in death by her Husband Edward "Ed" Tate, and son John Tate. She is survived by her brother Johnny Gantt and wife Jean of Newland, NC; a special niece, Janie Dowda of Kings Mountain and a special friends Vic and Sarah Deaton of Mooresboro, NC.

She was a lifelong member of Sandy Run Baptist Church where she had served as secretary of the Sunday School Department. She enjoyed gardening, her flowers, and her church family.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 8, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Sandy Run Baptist Church in Mooresboro, NC with Rev. Dr. Andrew S. Rawls officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 p.m.
