Edith Grunzke Hartman, 78, of 2370 Overland Lane in Vale, passed away
Thursday November 13, 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center.
Born in Berlin, Germany January 23, 1936, she was a daughter of the late
Hans Meile Grunzke and Johanna Lackner Krug. She was a retired cashier.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
Rondale Evan Hartman, one grandson, Jeremiah Shoe, and ten brothers and
sisters.
Survivors include two daughters, Christine Ferry of Greensboro and Tabetha
Procopis and husband, Chris of London, England; son, Herbert Gerdis and
wife, Donna of TN, four granddaughters, Karly Richardson, Isabella Procopis,
Brandy Morgan, and Jennifer Gerdis and one great grandson, A.J. Shoe.
Visitation will be 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm Monday November 17, 2014 at Stamey
Tysinger Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
Burial will be private.
