Frank Dwight Elliott, 84, of 700 Self Street in Cherryville, passed away November 17, 2012 at Peak Resources.
Born July 15, 1928 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Adlai Elzey Elliott Sr. and Lula Mae Gantt Elliott. He served in the US Airforce during WWII and was the owner and manager of Black Bear Motel in Boone.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lydia Elliott, two brothers, Robert Elliott and Adlai Elliott Jr. and an infant sister.
Survivors include a son, Mark Elliott of Winston Salem, a daughter, Deborah Carroll of Cary, a brother, Bernard Elliott & wife Evelyn of Fallston, and two sisters, Mary Davis of Gastonia and Elizabeth Jones of Aiken, SC.
Memorial Service: 2:00PM Tuesday at Rose Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum
Entombment: Rose Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum
