Mr. Joseph William Tesseneer, Sr., 84, of 405 N. Cansler St., Kings Mountain, NC, passed away Friday, July 2, 2010. Services were held at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel, Kings Mountain, NC. Burial followed in Mountain Rest Cemetery. 

Mr. Tesseneer served our country in the U.S. Navy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Griffton and Florence Mae Pearson Tesseneer; 2 brothers, Calvin and Alonzo Tesseneer; and 2 sisters, Cara Murray and Arthie Lane.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Geraldine Davis Tesseneer of the home; 3 sons, Joseph William Tesseneer, Jr. and wife Judy, and Michael Tesseneer and wife Sherry, all of Kings Mountain, NC, and Charles Tesseneer of Taylorsville; 2 daughters, Kathy Ann Stewart and husband John of Cayce, SC, and Sandra Lane Bolin and husband Robert of Kings Mountain; 3 half-sisters, Mary Elizabeth and husband Earl of Swansboro, and Sudie and Drucilla, both of Statesville; 1 brother, Francis Tesseneer and wife Barbara of Conyers, GA; 5 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
