| Katherine "Kathy" Elaine Johnson age 60 died Wednesday June 5, 2013 at Hospice Cleveland County. Born in Cleveland County she was the daughter of the late Miller and Irene Deal Lowman. Kathy was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church. She worked as a processor at Bank of North Carolina in Charlotte. She loved "playing in the dirt" by working in the yard and gardening. She was a devoted wife, and mother who never met a stranger and loved everyone including her "granddog". Kathy was full of life and was a friend to everyone.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 26 years, Dennis Johnson; a daughter, Anissa Johnson of Clyde; a sister, Margaret Strickland of Shelby; three brothers, Ruffus Lowman of New Berry SC, Roy Lowman of Shelby and Russell Lowman of Spindale.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday June 8, 2013 at 3:00pm in the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Bob Lowman Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Kathy gave the gift of life by donation to the UNC School of Medicine.
