Kathy Elmore Lovelace, 64 of Dallas Cherryville Hwy. died April 11, 2016 at Testa Family Hospice House, Kings Mountain, NC. She was born in Lincoln Co. on September 24, 1951, a daughter of the late Charles Hugh and Emma Carpenter Elmore. Kathy was formerly employed at Cochrane Furniture, Lincolnton and was retired from Gaston Co. Schools in Lowell, NC. Mrs. Lovelace was a longtime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Crouse. She found great pleasure in traveling, camping and being at Jekyll Island and St. Simons, GA.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Bill "Willie" Lovelace; daughter, Tina Lovelace of Crouse; brother, Johnny Reel of Oak Island, NC; sister, Judy Reel Lovelace of Lincolnton and numerous other relatives.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 2:00 PM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with her Pastor, Rick Sloop officiating. Burial will follow in City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday at Carpenter's Funeral and Cremation Services from 6-8 PM and at other times at the home.
