Mr. Louis Elmer Black, 75, of 128 Farris Rd., Kings Mountain, NC, went to Heaven Friday, November 19, 2010. Services were held at Midview Baptist Church. Burial followed in Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mtn., NC.
Mr. Black was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Lillie Mae Henderson Black; 1 son, Larry Dean Black; and 1 brother, Lawrence Black.
He is survived by his loving wife 55 years, Edith Sims Black of the home; 2 sons, Louis Steven Black and wife Melanie of Kings Mountain, and Chad Black of Rocky Mount; 2 daughters, Cynthia Black Wilson and Stephanie Black, both of Kings Mountain; 2 sisters, Frances Greene of Shelby, and Doris Dabbs and husband Pete of Kings Mountain; 1 sister-in-law, Betty Black of Kings Mountain; 3 brothers, L.D. Black of Bessemer City, NC, Wayne Black and wife Shirley, and G.C. Black and wife Evelyn, all of Kings Mountain; 8 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 7 step-great-grandchildren.
