Mr. Robert Thomas Blackwell, born on September 12, 1951 in Cleveland County, NC passed away at Hospice of Rutherford County on Wednesday, September 10, 2014. He was predeceased by his father, William Blackwell.
He is survived by his mother, Margaret Pearson Griffin of Holly Springs; significant other, Betty Rhom of Bostic; one brother, Jerry Pearson of Landrum, SC; three sisters, Sheila Greene (Bo) of Charlotte, Diana Ealey of Concord and Linda Harris (Irby) of Forest City.
Mr. Blackwell was a Truck Driver for Truck Service, Incorporated. He loved driving, listening to country music and was an avid racing fan. He will truly be missed.
A Service to celebrate Tommy's life will be held on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.at the Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church, 301 Deviney Street, Spindale, NC, with the Pastor Leon Brown officiating.
