Willie Mae Ramsey Walker Knox, 96, of 9424 W. NC 10, Vale, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at her home.

She was born in Lincoln County on January 5, 1919 to the late Daniel Pressley Ramsey and Mary Frances "Fannie" Smith Ramsey. She was retired from Belks of Lincolnton.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband William Hillard Walker and second husband Earl Knox.

She is survived by her daughter, Hilda Lindsay of Vale; brother, Clyde Thomas Ramsey and wife Wilma of Hickory; one grandson, William Lindsay of Vale; one niece, Clydette Jonas and husband Frank of Hildebran; and two nephews, George Ramsey and wife Myra of Hickory and Douglas Ramsey and wife Teresa of Hickory.
