The new permanent home of the Foothills Farmers' Market opened with the grandest of celebrations at the new City Pavilion in Uptown Shelby, 126 W. Marion Street. The music played, the vendors provided and hundreds of well wishers and shoppers came. It was a festival of local food, plants, crafts, and music. The Foothills Farmers' Market operates each Saturday and Wednesday from 8am until 12noon and features 100% locally produced seasonal vegetables, fruit, meat, eggs & baked goods.
