| Homegrown Pineapple! |
|
Betty Downs, a life long resident of Shelby, has grown something very unique for this area. A Pineapple! Betty loves to see things grow and with that in mind she experimented with cutting a pineapple at the top, soaking it in water for 3 days and planting in the ground. The result has astonished everyone at Purolator EFP where she has been employed for 41 years. Betty enjoys many things but her best times are spent watching her great grandson play baseball and soccer. Everyone is interested in what Betty will grow next !! Submitted by Danny Reece
