Richard Lee Hubbard, 74, of Casar, passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Atrium Health - Cleveland, Shelby .

Born in Rutherford County, on March 8, 1947, he was a son of the late Jack Coach Hubbard and Daisy Dayberry Hubbard. He was retired from Century Furniture and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by seven brothers, Carl, Jesse, Ohmer, Dwight, J.R., and Durham Hubbard and Harold "Red" Dayberry and a sister, Novella Walker.

Survivors include two sons, Ricky Hubbard and Jimmy Hubbard and wife Jorleny; two brothers, Buren Hubbard of Salisbury and Billy Hubbard and wife Wanda of Belwood; two sisters, Sue Downs of Mountain View and Ruby Hefner of Hickory; three grandchildren, Emma Hubbard, Christopher Hubbard, and Cody Stamey.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 19, 2021 , at 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm , at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Homer Tessneer officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
